It is constructed of double brick and tile, the original portion of the house being built using locally made Kendenup bricks. The house was extended in the 1980's using similar coloured and textured bricks to blend with the original.
The property has been well maintained throughout and is well presented both inside and out.
Inside the house retains many of the features of the era such as high ceilings, ceiling roses, fire places in the original bedrooms and lounge and wide entry hall.
The house comprises two large bedrooms with open fire places, a third bedroom is what was the original front verandah being enclosed. A good size centrally located lounge, large kitchen/dining area with good cupboard and bench space a new gas stove, plus an original Fremantle in stove has been retained and has a range hood above.
The bathroom is a good size with separate shower and bath, vanity and tiled floor, the laundry is at the rear of the house and is a good size, with the toilet off the laundry. The house has the option of gas storage or solid fuel hot water systems, and uses a combination of rain water and scheme water.
At the rear of the house is a good size paved patio area with a second toilet. Alongside the paving extends to a carport, located at the front of the original garage/workshop constructed of the same brick & tile as the house, it is lined internally, it has power and a remote controlled roller door. At the rear of the garage is a small store room (formally engine room) and at the very rear is a second laundry with its own solid fuel hot water system.
Also towards the rear of the property is a shade house a 12000 gallon and 2000 gallon rainwater tank plus a 1000 gallon overhead tank.
The gardens are well maintained and laid out with paved pathways around the house and concrete paths around garden beds, there are numerous older variety shrubs and small trees planted throughout the property along with some fruit trees.
This is a well presented property with historical links to Kendenup and its development, it also represents good value at $235,000
